Biblioscape lets you have a smooth way out if you found other bibliographic tools that fit your needs better. Go to menu command "File Export" to export records that are currently shown. So, if you want to export all the records in your database, retrieve all records first by go to menu command "References Retrieve All".
To EndNote: On the export window, give the path and file name to export first. Click "Tagged" tab and select "Refer -- EndNote". Click "Start" button to export. Then start EndNote, go to "File Import", select the file you just exported, select "EndNote Import" as "Import Option", then click "Import" button.
To Reference Manager: On the export window, give the path and file name to export first. Click "Tagged" tab and select "RIS -- Reference Manager". Click "Start" button to export. Start Reference Manager, go to menu command "References Capture...". Click the "..." button after "Definition Name" and select "RIS Format". Click the "..." button after "Text file" and select the file you have just exported. Click "Capture" button to start import.
To ProCite: First, export records using RIS format. Then start ProCite, go to "Tools Import Text File...". Select the file you just exported. Once the file is opened, select "Tagged" as "File Type", and "Ris" as "File Format". Click "Transfer" button to import.
To Spreadsheet Programs: On the export window, click "Delimited" tab. Select "Comma" or "Tab" as the delimited format. Click "Start" button to export. Any spreadsheet program can then open the tab or comma delimited file.
To LaTeX in BibTex: On the export window, select "RTF" tab as "File type". Select "BibTex" style as "Formatted file for journal...". Give a file name for exported file. Click "Start" button to export.
To Biblioscape: If you want to transfer records to another Biblioscape database, you can export records in Biblioscape Tagged Format (*.btf). On the export window, click "Tagged" tab and select "Biblioscape tagged file". Click "Start" button to export.
Tip: Biblioscape allows you control what fields to export. By default all fields are exported. To not export certain fields, click "Options" tab on export window. You can drag-and-drop fields not to be exported into the box "Fields not to export data".
Tip: During export, you can let Biblioscape add certain keywords in the keywords field. For example, you may want to add a date, or folder name as an extra keyword. So, once imported into other programs, you can easily track down all the records imported in that batch. To add extra keywords, click "Options" tab on export window, type in the keywords to add, go back to the "Export" tab, and click "Start" button to export.
